FAQ – price changes from 1 January 2026

Why are prices changing from 1 January 2026?

From 1 January 2026, VAT must be added to fitness/teaching services such as yoga for people aged 30 and above. We are required to follow the applicable rules.

Who pays VAT — and who doesn’t?

  • 30+: The price is incl. VAT.

  • Under 30: You are VAT-exempt and therefore pay a lower price.

Why does yum need my date of birth?

So we can charge the correct price and document VAT exemption for members under 30, we ask everyone to register their date of birth on their profile.

Why is the price also increasing slightly for under 30?

We’ve chosen to increase the price slightly for under 30 as well, so the change feels more balanced — and because under 30 members won’t benefit from any potential compensation deduction.

Will there be a deduction for 30+?

Politically, there’s a proposal for a small fitness tax deduction in 2026 of DKK 1750,- as compensation for the VAT change. It hasn’t been finally adopted yet. We recommend that you save your receipts, and we’ll update this page as soon as there’s a final decision.

What if I turn 30 during my membership?

Your price changes to the 30+ price from the first payment/renewal after your 30th birthday.

Can I cancel if I don’t want the change?

Yes. If you don’t want to continue under the new terms, you can cancel your membership according to the applicable cancellation terms. Write to us and we’ll help quickly: yoga@yum.dk
