Why is EMS so stellar?

EMS offers a highly effective workout that activates deeper muscle layers, ensuring a comprehensive, full-body workout routine in no time. Whether you’re a busy professional, dedicated athlete, or simply want bang for the buck in terms of time, money and efficiency, EMS training offers remarkable benefits. EMS is further a good treatment for targeting muscular imbalances and bad posture – and it’s very gentle on the body.

The sweet intersection

As yum is a yoga studio and café at its core, you might be thinking what the relation is between deep, ancient philosophy and a modern, high-tech workout method like EMS? Well, let us explain why this dynamic duo makes perfect sense.

Yoga teaches us a lot of things, amongst others strength, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness. EMS brings in an additional tool for building further strength and precision – and there’s a time efficiency element to it too. Together, they create a holistic experience that’s as unique and awesome as you are. As we like to embrace life in its many shapes and forms, this combo might well serve as a reminder to stay open-minded and flexible in every sense.

EMS at yum will not be impacting the regular yoga schedule, but it will serve as an additional offer to the range of yummy experiences at yum! It comes with its own clipcard pricing, and further perks for those who are already members of the yum yoga studio!

Please be aware that you are required to sign the EMS disclaimer before entering class. You can read it here.

What you get

Training and treatment in one

EMS is a scientifically supported form of training with roots in physiotherapy. While getting an effective and optimized full-body workout, EMS can also be used to adjust muscular imbalances and underdeveloped muscles potentially causing pain.

Gentle and targeted

With the professional placement of electrodes in the specialized XBODY training suit, it is easy to target the relevant muscle groups. No external weight is required and thus there's no risk of overloading joints and ligaments.

Efficiency and time-optimization

Is 20 minutes enough? Yes, baby! EMS is neither an easy nor lazy solution. The intensity of the workout feels like you've been training hard – and the results follow. Most people experience visible results after 4 weeks, with just two sessions a week.

10% café discount

All clip card holders can enjoy 10% on food/drinks in the café next door.

Isabell EMS Instructor at yum

Isabell Obling

I’ve been with yum since day one—literally. From digital coordination to café vibes, campaigns to social media, and now as floor manager, event coordinator, and proud EMS instructor, I’ve worn pretty much every hat there is here (and probably brewed your coffee at some point too).

I tried EMS at yum for the very first time back in September 2024, and my ADHD-brain was instantly obsessed. I therefore dove headfirst into instructor training when an oppotunity presented itself, just two months later, and I haven’t looked back.

My approach to my trainings is all about personal attention, good energy, and a little dash of cheeky humor. I love getting to know the people I do workouts with, and because I’ve been part of yum since the beginning, I have strong feelings (and even stronger opinions!) about what makes a truly great “yum experience.”

Expect feel-good vibes, focused support, and a class that leaves you stronger—and hopefully laughing a little too.
